N316's Game Reviews: NEO GEO GAMES
PeacefulI have been playing these "NEOGEO" collections games. Which of course are completions of SNK games. I'm going to talk about the ones that I have that hasn't been released in America yet. Though some have been out for a while.So here we go and of course if your an SNK Hater please get the hell out of NEO GEO Land!!
Samurai Sprits: Rokuban Shoubu (Released in the U.S as Samurai Shodown: Anthology) Six Samurai Shodown games on one Disc? Truly an awesome experiance. Well a concern to everybody in the forums: "Will This game be censored for the American Release?" Maybe........ beause SNK has that problem with censorship and they even did it for the Samurai Shodown game for the SNK Arcade Classics game. The game is known for it's content of slashing someon in half. Okay here's a hint try Samurai Shodown 1. If you don't hear an narriator's voice during the intro that means you got the edited version where they removed the "Fatal Blood Gush". While this complation has every Samurai Shodown game minus SSV Special it remains the same as the original version. However this is the import and not the US Version. Also on the bright side for those who never got "Samurai Shodown V" nor played Samurai Shodown VI on PS2. You're in luck cause this is the first time in years you'll be able to play those two games. Since SSV was only for X-Box. Just hope that SNK will leave the game alone and not change it. Who cares about the Violent content. I have seen worst. US Release Date: Somewhere around December of 2008
King of Fighters
rochi Sega Has KOF 95, 96 and 97
Another game worth having for your collection. The introduction to Iori Yagami and the Orochi. Again it's simillar to the Neo Geo Version in every way.
King of Fighters: NESTS 99, 2000 and 2001 included (Both Dreamcast and Neo Geo Versions)
Same game as the Orochi Sega but with added mini puzzle games. A lot of SNK fans admited that the NESTS sega wasn't as good as the Orochi. In ways I agree and disagree. Because KOF 99 was the reason I went back to playing SNK games. Cause from 96-99 I stopped playing SNK games for an unknown reason. So after playing KOF 99 just for fun I decided to go back playing their games even when they went bankrupted in 2000. However I hate KOF 2001. There are many reasons for it and I'll list them:
1.The game play is very broken. It's the first KOF game to have all 4 characters participating rather to have one sit out as a support character. However it will cost you of your super meter resulting in one stock. It also suffers from very bad controls.
2.Soundtrack for this version sucks! It can't compare to 96, 98 99 or even 2000.
3.New Characters like May Lee, K9999 and Angel didn't appeal to me. May Lee's some girl who's into Super Sentai and does Hero poses. K9999 is a Clone of K but bit of an Asshole. Even though he's voiced by the same actor who voiced Tetsuo from "AKIRA" he wasn't that impressive even SNK wasn't too pleased and they didn't even made the character. As for Angel I admit she's hot but she doesn't even fit into NESTS for some reason.
4.The Artwork is very bad. Since the fall of SNK some art guys from Edolith tried their best but failed.
5.It's of course not created by SNK but Eolith.
Release date: I say around 2009. If you don't have this? Well get it but sad to say that the Orochi Sega was better.
GAROU:MARK OF THE WOLVESAKA Fatal Fury: Mark of The Wolves or Fatal Fury 8
I remember seeing this a couple of years ago but never got a chance to play it. It was one of the last great SNK games before the fighting game craze cooled down in the late 90's. It was tested to push the NEO GEO to the limit and it did very well. Problem is that that the game only for the NEO GEO and on the Sega Dreamcast. Until recently they decided to put this on PS2. Simillar to "Street Fighter 3" Garou introduces a new set of characters whom made future KOF apperences and focus on "Rock Howard" (Geese Howard's Son) rather than Fatal Fury Main star: "Terry Bogard". If you haven't played "Garou". Be
sure to pick it up. The gameplay, graphics and music just pure awesome.

Last but not least
King of Fighters 98' Ultimate MatchTen year Anniversity of KOF. Like KOF 94 Rebout. SNK decided to do a remake of the game by making it better. Indeed they did. Even better by adding the Original Version. New characters include the return of Kasumi Todoh (KOF96), Eiji Kisarigi (KOF 95), The Boss Team (Geese Howard, Wolfgang Krauser and Mr.Big), The Orochi forms of Iori Yagami and Leona and Bosses from KOF 96 and 97 Goeniz and Orochi. Also included are some new moves for some characters and the "Ultimate Mode". This is where you customize your super meter with functions like Run/Dash Roll/Sidestep evasion and Stockbars or Charge meter.
For example I set the Ultimate mode with the Run movement, Roll evasion and Charge meter simillar to KOF 96.
While the game spirits are the same the backgrounds are redone. But still a great game to play.

KOF OROCHI: 4.5/5
KOF NESTS: 3.75/5
Garou Mark of the Wolves: 4.75/5
KOF 98 Ultimate Match: 5/5

Nintendo Wii Virtual Console for NEO GEO Cost around 900 pts per game
Emulator like MAME 32 While it's free you need the right rom file as well the right requriements to use the program
Or simply buy it for PS2 or Wii Price varies on the site or store.

I onced look at her as a friend but more of a rival of some sorts.
Plus I'm quite pissed at her since she didn't fill my request to remove my stories from the VAC witch she runs. Also the mods and some of her friends are dicks to me.
